I'm a senior and coterminal master's student at Stanford University studying computer science and cello performance, advised by Silvio Savarese and Dan Boneh. I care deeply about communities and building accessible, people-first software. At the same time, I also love building low-level, high-performance software and infra, as my undergraduate focus is in systems. Professionally, my experience spans data pipelines for scientific research, machine learning for local government, and agentic harnesses for enterprise software. Outside of work, I build tools supporting music, sports, and curiosity, and I volunteer my time with the ChucK team at CCRMA, modernizing the miniAudicle IDE.

Musically, I'm a cellist of 15 years, studying under Stephen Harrison. I've served as the principal cellist of the Stanford Philharmonia, Stanford Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta International Symphony Orchestra, and I am heavily active in Stanford's pit orchestra and chamber music scene. In high school, I was a member of the Varro Quartet, which revived one of Jean Sibelius's unpublished piano quartets. I love playing music that sits between Romantic lyricism and modernist intensity and engaging with the stories of their composers and inspirations. I also tinker with computer music and electroacoustic composition, under the guidance of Ge Wang.

I think my love for community stems from my strong chamber music background, but also my experiences with online communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. For years, I was part of Discord servers where none of us knew anything personal about each other, and yet we bonded over shared interests, learned to live with each other's differences, and eventually became people who showed up for one another. We kept promises, created art together, and planned virtual events, resulting in an encyclopedia's worth of inside jokes and collective memory. Community asks us to show up when it's easier not to, and in those spaces, any one of us could have disappeared without consequence. If I can share joy and connect people through my software and music, then I will have given my thanks to the communities that shaped me.
